Slate Plans Apartment Tower For Yonge And St. Clair

Slate Asset Management has unveiled preliminary plans for a mixed-use project at the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Delisle Avenue. The rental building, with retail at grade, will be the first Toronto project for renowned international design firm Studio Gang. This adds momentum to Slate's ambitious efforts to reimagine Yonge and St. Clair. Last year the firm, which has bought 10 properties in the area over the last four years, commissioned a mural by street artist Phlegm. Yonge and St. Clair is on its way back, Slate vice president of development Brandon Donnelly said. And having Studio Gang on board signals to the city “we would like to create something special here.”
