Movember Foundation’s Hip And Fun Toronto Office
No sooner did we tell you about how nonprofits risked losing talent due to uninspired workplaces than we heard from Colliers sales rep Alexandra Cozart and SVP Tim Bristow, who completed the lease for the Movember Foundation’s new fun, hip and “house-like” office at 588 Richmond St W. The men’s health charity, best known for its November moustache movement—which funds 1,200 projects in 21 countries focused on mental health and suicide prevention, and on prostate and testicular cancer—occupies all three floors of the 4,100 SF building. Tim says the space does much to help leverage Movember’s brand appeal.
The online charity moved from 119 Spadina Ave this summer. Its new office features a pop-up clothing store, pool tables, darts, an Xbox lounge, and an events space funded by donations from corporate partners Xbox, Rickard’s, L’Occitane, Campo Viejo and FITLIGHT. The location boasts front/back patios on the ground floor, too. Movember’s 16 TO staffers work on the top floor. The space showcases art by one of the city's top graffiti artists (above) and houses a Movember & Co barber shop. This is the second setup of its kind; Movember’s LA office opened last year.
Alexandra and Tim have created an internal Movember donation page.
