Biking In The Office
Speaking of racing, Brandon Aitken, an office leasing agent with Cushman & Wakefield, wanted to raise awareness and funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's upcoming Ride for Diabetes Research. So he did what anyone would do: hopped on a stationary bike during the Wednesday sales meeting at his downtown office and rode it for 31 km. (Kudos to Brandon; not so to the person who did 31km worth of speaking.)
"There's usually about 25 people in attendance," Brandon told us the day before embarking on his mission. "So I think everybody will get a kick out of me huffing and puffing in the corner, riding as fast as I can." Donations were based on how far he rode. And Brandon, an occasional spin class attendee, exceeded his goal of 30 km, raising more than $500.
