The cannabis culture retailer Tokyo Smoke is planning to add two new GTA stores this year.

The coffee and cannabis culture retailer Tokyo Smoke plans to add nine new stores in Canada, including two in Toronto, over the next two years.

The store, which offers coffee, clothing and designer products catered to the cannabis aficionado, will add to its three GTA stores with a new outlet near Queen and Broadview, and another at a yet-to-be-determined location. A Tokyo Smoke store in downtown Hamilton is also planned. All three are expected to be up and running before the end of 2017, Retail Insider reports.

“We have this opportunity to help define the modern cannabis retail experience and we’re really in this incredible moment right now where Canada is about to become the first developed country in the world to have nationwide legal, adult-use cannabis,” Tokyo Smoke founder and CEO Alan Gertner said.

Out west, the retail operation is planning to open six locations in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba over the next two years.
