Could Canada Be Facing a Bikini Shortage?
Bikinis may soon be harder to find in Eastern Canada, with Groupe Bikini Village announcing this week it’s filing for bankruptcy. The Sainte-Julie, QC-based swimwear retailer operates 52 locations in Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, with 400 employees. The company said in a statement it’s continuing to operate its stores “in the ordinary course of business," and went on to thank customers and suppliers for their support “through this difficult period for Canadian retail.”
