Lowe's Canada Plans Nationwide Hiring Spree For 54 Stores
Lowe’s Canada, which acquired Quebec-based home improvement chain Rona Inc. last May in a $3.2B takeover, said yesterday it plans to hire 2,800 new employees to fill seasonal roles at its 54 Lowe's banner stores. It also plans to add positions at two new stores in Sherwood Park, AB, and London, ON. Lowe’s and Rona combined operate 535 corporate and independent affiliate dealer stores under the banners of Lowe's, RONA, Réno-Dépôt, Marcil, Dick's Lumber and Ace, employing nearly 30,000.
