BayBridge Seniors Housing to Buy Amica Mature Lifestyles

BayBridge Seniors Housing, owned by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, has reached a deal to acquire Vancouver-based Amica Mature Lifestyles, which develops, owns and manages 26 seniors residences in Ontario, B.C. and Alberta, including Amica at the Balmoral Club in Toronto. BayBridge owns and operates 41 senior living communities, with 35 in Canada, six in the US and six more under construction. Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Health Care REIT announced last month a JV for a US$449M medical office building portfolio in Southern California, most within Beverly Hills' Golden Triangle district.
