Canada Tops Global LEED Ranking, Again
Never mind how well we’re doing at the Pan Am Games. For the second year in a row, Canada's ranked first on the US Green Building Council list of Top 10 Countries for LEED. China was second, India third. The ranking highlights countries outside the US that are making “significant strides" in sustainable building design, construction and transformation. Oxford Properties' WaterPark Place was cited as a notable project, the first to earn LEED Platinum through the Canada Green Building Council’s recertification program. Ontario leads the nation with 962 LEED-certified projects. (Maybe "going green" can become an Olympic sport. What if we do it while running?)
