Larry Silverstein’s World Trade Center complex is impressive from all angles. The developer extraordinaire started the rebuilding process just months after 9/11, putting together a team of Starchitects from across the globe to create four new soaring towers over the past decade and a half.
It isn’t just the facades that make these buildings special though—even the elevators are tricked out—as if rising to the 104 floors to the top of the new World Trade Center wasn’t cool enough.
The elevator in 1 World Trade Center plays a time lapse of the NYC skyline from 1500 to today. But don’t worry, it’s an elevator, not a time machine—you won’t have to fight any British soldiers on the way up.
