Vancouver's Best Neighbourhood Is...
Port Moody snagged top spot in MoneySense magazine's list of Vancouver’s top neighbourhoods. The publication noted “tree-lined” PoMo saw about 30 homes sold there last year at an average price of just over $700k, $50k less than the Metro Vancouver benchmark. The ranking is based on an area's value, growth potential and “desirability,” determined by realtor input. Onni Group gets it; the firm's building the sizable Suter Brook Village there (left). Not only are Port Moody homes more affordable (compared to Vancouver, at least), the area’s also active and “art-focused,” with a strong sense of community. Prefer closer to the city? The average house in 84th-ranked South Cambie will set you back $2.3M. [MoneySense]
