Hot REITs to watch: Dundee Capital's senior real estate analyst Frederic Blondeau says to keep an eye on Boardwalk (BEI-U), InterRent (IIP-U), Mainstreet Equity (MEQ), Granite (GRT-U), and Allied Properties (AP-U). All of these have strong balance sheets and growth potential without additional capital. "From a top-down perspective, we generally have a preference for the multi-residential, senior living and industrial real estate sub-sectors," he says.
