Sears Shuts Richmond Store
Big news yesterday was Sears closing five of its stores nationwide, including its flagship in Toronto's Eaton Centre (by 2014), in a $400M deal. It's selling the leases of those five to Cadillac Fairview. This includes the store at Richmond Centre, owned and operated by Ivanhoe Cambridge and Cadillac Fairview. A spokesperson from CF confirmed that Sears will be leaving Richmond Centre Feb. 28, 2015. This will leave Sears with 111 stores in Canada.
