Say farewell to discount days. That'll be one of the impacts of the pending full opening of the South Fraser Perimeter Road, says Cushman & Wakefield VP Randy Swant. (But if you still have coupons, Bed Bath & Beyond will take them.)
No, we're not talking about Target or Walmart. Randy handles Tilbury West Corporate Centre (a mid-sized strata bay project with units anywhere from 9,400 SF to 54k SF) in Delta on behalf of Beedie Development Group. Beedie built the project anticipating the impact on the East-West, $1B SFPR. "The highway vastly improves access to and from an area that has steadily become more and more congested and as a result, discounted, over the years," he says.
Randy says most of the purchasers at TWCC (photo) have cited the SFPR as the reason why they selected the site. Others that have recently relocated or expanded along the new highway corridor include Murchies Tea and Coffee at 8026 River Way and Westbond Enterprises at 7403 Progress Way.
