BMO Donation Ensures Completion of New Theatre
A $1.5M donation from BMO Financial Group to the Arts Club Theatre Company and Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival will ensure the completion of construction of the groups’ new theatre facility, to be named BMO Theatre Centre. The $20.4M complex, which will house a 250-seat theatre, four rehearsal theatres, and the offices of Arts Club Theatre Company and Bard on the Beach, is scheduled to open this fall at 162 West 1st Ave. BMO Bank of Montreal SVP Mike Bonner noted the contribution is the “most significant theatre sponsorship we’ve made in B.C.”
