Sony Pictures Imageworks Is 725 Granville's First Occupant
Sony Pictures Imageworks has moved into its fifth floor space at 725 Granville St, the first tenant at the 290k SF office building that's part of the Pacific Centre redevelopment at Robson and Granville streets. The revamped complex, formerly the bleached Eatons/Sears building, includes four floors of office space above a three-floor Nordstrom, opening this September. (Other retailers coming include Ted Baker London, Kate Spade and Microsoft.)
Each floor at 725 Granville has 17-foot ceilings and 73k SF floor plates, unique for offices in the area, developer Cadillac Fairview notes. SVP Tom Knoepfel says they’ll be welcoming Microsoft and law firm Miller Thomson to the building over the next 18 months. Microsoft will occupy the sixth and seventh floors later this year; Miller Thomson will move into 48k SF on the fourth floor in early 2017. The building, redesigned by James K.M. Cheng, is targeting LEED Gold.
