Vancouver CRE's Busiest Quarter in 5 Years
You thought your summer was hectic? Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver president Darcy McLeod says commercial real estate has just come off its busiest quarter for sales in the past five years. There were 591 sales worth a total of $1.95B in Q2, a 41.2% increase from the same period in 2014. Land deals fuelled things, with 191 Lower Mainland sales registered with the Land Title and Survey Authority of B.C. (worth $937M). There were 234 office and retail sales worth $575M last quarter, and 134 industrial land sales, a $226M value, up nearly 70% from the same time last year.
