Canada's LEED Platinum Project Roster Grew 29% In 2015
Canada's roster of LEED Platinum-certified projects grew by 28.6% in 2015, for 36 total. This includes the Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence at Okanagan College in Penticton (above), BC's 83rd LEED-certified building. Nationwide, 527 projects were LEED-certified last year, a total of 2,576, according to Canada Green Building Council. LEED Gold projects were up 6% versus 2014, to 207. It’s a sign, CaGBC president Thomas Mueller says, that the industry is "ready to achieve more ambitious performance targets in new and existing buildings."
