Federal Grant Process To Change
Nonprofits have until early May to comment on OMB's proposed changes to how the federal government awards over $600B in annual grants and other federal assistance. The good news: It consolidates multiple regulations. Some of the changes include: consolidating OMB grant guidance from eight documents to one; simplifying the reporting requirements for grantees in justifying salaries and wages charged to grants; and focusing more audit resources on preventing waste, fraud, and abuse.
