Mary’s Center CEO Maria Gomez (right) was plucked to be part of mayor-elect Muriel Bowser’s transition team. She’ll be advising on health care issues in the District. (Maria’s Center provides health care, family literacy and social services.) Mayors Gray and Fenty also chose Maria as a health advisor during their transitions.
