Startup Pledges Up to $1M in Donations

GoodWorld, a DC startup launched by Dale Nirvani Pfeifer (above) that allows people to donate to charities through Twitter and Facebook, is in the middle of a Million Dollar Challenge for December. The company will add $1 to every donation of $20 or more, up to $1M, reports Technically DC. The donations must be made using GoodWorld’s signature #donate technology. It allows users to give money to over 1,200 nonprofits. The donor gives money by commenting #donate [insert dollar amount] on a nonprofit’s Facebook page or by Tweeting #donate at a nonprofit’s Twitter handle. If the donor is not registered with GoodWorld, credit card information is filled out after the first donation. [TDC]
