PREA Gives First LGBT Inclusion Award At Fall Dinner
The Pension Real Estate Association has created an award to recognize organizations that display a commitment to the LGBT community.
Last night at its fall dinner at the Grand Hyatt Washington, PREA gave the first Rich Chicotel Award to the Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions. Above, LAFPP commissioner Brian Pendleton, left, poses with Evolve president Chris Fraley.
PREA's nominating committee unanimously chose LAFPP for its inclusionary efforts to include funds owned by LGBT professionals in its emerging manager platform.
The award is named after the late Rich Chicotel, who was the CFO of Shorenstein Properties and an active LGBT philanthropist.
