Bisnow Exclusive: Big Lease on Vermont Ave
Bisnow has learned that Medicaid provider AmeriHealth Mercy has signed a 36k SF lease for the entire second floor at SC Herman & Associates' 1120 Vermont Ave. (If you work at a health company on the second floor, do they make you take the stairs?)
FD Stonewater's Bob Hines (who repped SC Herman with colleagues David Alperstein and Eugene Smith, snapped this morning) says the owner's fast-track schedule drew AmeriHealth to the building, as the tenant was able to move in to the space only three days after lease execution on March 29.
Bob says AmeriHealth's space is fully built-out,and the new deal brings occupancy at the 500k SF building to 98%. Other major tenants include the Department of Homeland Security and SAIC. If the stress of working at DHS gives you a heart attack, at least your neighbor is AmeriHealth.
