DC's Property Managers Battle the (Sort Of) Snowstorm
DC-area property managers were hard at work yesterday prepping for whatever #Snowquester wasbringing. Keeping walkways safe at 650 Mass Ave was Brookfield's Uticious Peters and George Robertson. All Brookfield buildings remained open, says local property management chief Jackie Duke, "thanks to our wonderful engineers who cleared sidewalks and were available to assist tenants no matter what the conditions."
At Westpark Corporate Center in Tysons, JLL engineer Jonathan Callejas was keeping things orderly. Meredith Roark, who oversees JLL's property management portfolio from Baltimore to Richmond, tells us the firm was glad it knew about the storm days in advance, which allowed managers to prepare building areas. She says communication is key, from holding periodic status calls between engineers to regularly contacting tenants during an (almost) weather emergency like yesterday's.
