First Potomac's New Quarterback
First Potomac hired former Brookfield vet Mario Silva (snapped yesterday, seated left, with CIO Nick Smith and VP Pat Kelly) as director of portfolio management. The newly created position puts Mario in charge of strategic plans for all of the REIT's assets, he tells us, to helpincrease occupancy, drive operating effiencies, and make capital improvements when necessary. Mario and his three-person team will act as the "quarterback of strategy," working side-by-side with the property management, leasing, and construction teams. (Ironically, RG3 likes to be called the Broker of Touchdowns. Everybody thinks the other guy's job is cooler.)
