St. E's East Pavilion Gets Going
The wait has been long (over a decade, think of how many bad haircuts you've gone through in that time) but yesterday, ground was finally broken on the St. Elizabeths East community pavilion. The project will include a 16k SF open-air market and a walkway to the St. E's West campus, where Coast Guard employees will soon move in and Dept. of Homeland Securityeventually will as well. Snapped here: Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, Ward 8 councilmember Marion Barry, Mayor Vince Gray and councilmember at-large Anita Bonds.
