Avison Young Hires D.C.-Based Executive From JLL
A 25-year JLL veteran is leaving the firm to take a new executive role at Avison Young.
Harry Klaff joined Avison Young as principal and president of clients, based in D.C., the brokerage firm announced Monday.
In the newly created position, Klaff will engage with the firm's occupier, owner and investor clients around the world. Klaff worked at JLL since 1995, most recently as managing director.
Klaff will work closely with two other executives whom Avison Young has hired this year: Sheila Botting, who joined in May as principal and president of professional services for the Americas, and Mark Croad, who joined last month as principal in the firm's UK office.
“Clients have always been at the heart of what we do and Harry’s decades of experience mentoring fellow colleagues and leading clients through their needs and challenges makes him purpose-fit to run our client engagement platform," Avison Young CEO Mark Rose said in a release.
Klaff's departure from JLL to Avison Young comes just as two brokers are making the opposite move. JLL hired Nate Krill and Will Harrison, two Tysons-based tenant representatives with 30 years of combined experience, from Avison Young, Washington Business Journal reports. An Avison Young spokesperson confirmed the move to Bisnow.
