Celebrating D.C.'s Power Women In Commercial Real Estate
More than 400 commercial real estate professionals gathered at the Capital Hilton Thursday to honor D.C.'s top women in the industry at Bisnow's Power Series: Women of Influence in Commercial Real Estate event.
Among the 69 women honored at the event was Savills Studley Senior Managing Director Wendy Feldman Block. A top broker in the industry, having been with Savills Studley since 1989, Feldman Block in 2016 received CREW's Outstanding Impact Award.
The honorees also included RD Jones founder and principal Rebecca Jones and Urban Atlantic President Vicki Davis. This has been a big year for Urban Atlantic, which landed an anchor tenant for the first phase of its 71-acre New Carrollton development and broke ground in October. It is also part of the development team that broke ground in April on the 66-acre Parks at Walter Reed project.
Rappaport Senior Director Susan Bourgeois was also among those honored. Earlier this year, she represented the owner of the Lincoln at Tinner Hill in Falls Church in a deal to bring a Target to the development.
The event, Bisnow's last of the year, featured an open bar and a wide range of hors d'oeuvres such as vegetable spring rolls, tempura strips, tandoori chicken, roasted tenderloin and mozzarella and tomato skewers. Guests were also treated to live music from local jazz band Shannon Gunn and the Bullettes.
