City's Thank You to Bruce Bolling
Mayor Walsh and Gov. Baker recently led the renaming of the $124M redeveloped Ferdinand’s building in Dudley Square as the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building. They honored the late city councilor and first African-American president of the Boston City Council to the delight of his family (grandson Michael Gant Jr, sister Charlene Bolling-Hayes in beige turtleneck and his son, Bruce Jr, standing behind the sign). The 215k SF building in the heart of Roxbury will be the new home of the city's school department, the Roxbury Innovation Center and 18k SF of ground-floor retail.
