Clark Construction Group has new ownership in place, but the company will remain in familiar hands as it has been sold to the management team.

Clark Enterprises held a majority stake in the construction group. Company owner and family patriarch Jim Clark passed away last March at the age of 87. The new ownership team includes over a dozen individuals who have been owners and executives in Clark Construction for more than 30 years, the Washington Post reports. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The Bethesda-based firm was started more than 100 years ago in the area and currently has 4,000 employees in 11 offices across the continent. The company boasts over $4B in revenue and will remain HQ’d in Bethesda.

Clark has delivered several of the most well-known landmarks in the District, including FedEx Field, Nationals Park and the Verizon Center. It's worked on complexes such as CityCenterDC and several iconic buildings, including the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian. Last year, the firm was selected along with HKS Architects from a dozen submissions for the 2015 Greenbuild legacy project. [WaPo]
