Comstock Hires New Head Of Acquisitions
Comstock is moving forward with major projects on Metro-adjacent sites in Reston and Ashburn, and now it has hired an industry veteran to find new properties to acquire.
The real estate firm hired Mike Daugard as senior vice president to lead its acquisitions team and pursue new investment opportunities, Comstock announced Monday.
Daugard spent the majority of his 20-year commercial real estate career at WashREIT before joining Rubenstein in 2015. He then joined ROSS Development in January 2017 before coming to Comstock. A University of Maryland, College Park graduate, Daugard has spent six years as an adjunct professor at his alma mater.
"Mike is a seasoned industry professional with deep market knowledge and insight that enhances Comstock's ability to identify attractive institutional investment opportunities, increase assets under management across asset classes, and drive bottom line results," Comstock CEO Chris Clemente said in a release.
The two largest projects Comstock has in the works are Reston Station, a 5M SF mixed-use project near the Wiehle-Reston East Silver Line Station, and Loudoun Station, a 2.5M SF mixed-use project near the near the future Ashburn station. The firm also provides design, construction, brokerage, property management and consulting services.
