DC Museum Jumps on Crowdfunding Bandwagon
The National Building Museum is trying to fund its newest installation with a new partner: you. The museum at 401 F St NW is trying to raise $10k in a crowdfunding campaign to pay for a 10k SF beach installation, using a million clear plastic balls to replicate the ocean. Through six days of the campaign, the museum has already raised $2,375 through Indiegogo. Once the money is raised, Brooklyn-based firm Snarkitecture will design the installation and open it on July 4.
