D.C. Real Estate Community Gathers At 6th Annual SED Center Pub Games
The D.C. commercial real estate community came together Wednesday night to support the Spanish Education Development Center at the sixth annual Pub Games.
Teams competed to see who was the most stylish, dressing up in costumes such as construction workers, referees, chefs, Waldo and prom attire. The companies at the games included JBG Smith, Wingate Hughes, DFS Construction, Clark Construction, Skanska and Red Coats Inc. Clark took home first place in the games and Wingate Hughes won best costume, taking the trophy from last year's winner, DFS Construction.
The event, held at Penn Social, featured a series of games such as table tennis, cornhole and Connect Four, plus a mechanical bull. Drinks were served, and attendees dined on pizza and appetizers such as spinach-artichoke dip, hummus and guacamole.
Founded in 1971, SED Center provides bilingual academic programs to low-income D.C. residents. The organization recently acquired its headquarters at 4110 Kansas Ave. in Petworth for $4.7M. This year's Pub Games raised over $100K for SED Center, with BB&T as the title sponsor.
