Former Cushman Americas CEO Jim Underhill Joins Startup
Former Cushman & Wakefield CEO of the Americas Jim Underhill (here with Danielle Keute and Brian Dawson last fall) has accepted a position as chairman of the board of Create, a DC-based tech startup that plans to change how people research commercial real estate. Create began in 2011 to establish a one-stop shop for property information from many different data sources. In January, the company launched its pilot website, where users can research property information like ownership, zoning and entitlements, along with 3D mapping technology, reports the Washington Business Journal. It plans to eventually allow users to buy, sell or lease commercial real estate. Underhill’s new role will be to focus on areas like strategy, product development and financing. Right now, Create only includes DC properties, but it will include properties across the nation over the next two years. [WBJ]
