Former Steamers Seafood House Site Marketed for Redevelopment
The site of the former Steamers Seafood House in Bethesda has been placed on the market and could be a target for redevelopment. The Feldman Group of Marcus & Millichap has been retained to sell the site at 4820 Auburn Ave and three other lots on Auburn and Norfolk avenues. Steamers began operations in September 1990 and closed for good this past August as the owner decided not to contest a series of issues raised by the Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control. The offering for the site and three other lots totals 8.3k SF and could support up to 25k SF of mixed-use development under current zoning. The site has been assessed at $2.6M and has already received interest from developers. [WBJ]
