Hitt Contracting Wins Big At NAIOP's NoVa Awards
NAIOP's NoVa chapter held its annual awards ceremony last week, with 26 awards given out for transactions, interiors, marketing, buildings and membership.
The night's MCs, above, were Brookfield's Dave Bevirt, Baker Tilly's Barbara Schaefer McDuffie and Vornado/Charles E. Smith's Jim Creedon.
Hitt Contracting, posing above, took home one of the night's biggest awards for firm of the year.
The award for best product marketing went to The Bartlett in Pentagon City, a Vornado/Charles E. Smith building with Rode Advertising and Brandlink on the marketing team.
First Potomac Realty Trust's Ed Zaptin took home the member of the year award of excellence. Above, Ed draws names for the event's door prize with ECS Corporate Services' Tracy Allen.
Cushman & Wakefield brokered both of the lease transactions that received awards. The first was Carr Properties landing OPower to occupy 63k SF at 2311 Wilson Blvd in Courthouse. The other was Lerner Enterprises signing CSC to 62k SF at 1775 Tysons Blvd.
The event's "Great members" included Tracy Allen (left) and CBRE's Leila Sydykova (right), who organized the door prizes and gave away more than $8k to lucky winners, and the awards gala chairs, ADI Construction's Erica Bazow and Christopher Consultants Marie Purkert (center).
