Kettler Hires Former WaPo Exec Usha Chaudhary As President/COO
Kettler has hired Usha Chaudhary, once the CFO at the Washington Post, to serve as its new president and COO amid an executive shuffle for the growing multifamily company.
She will manage all aspects of the Kettler organization and report directly to Bob Kettler. Chaudhary most recently served as SVP, CFO and Treasurer of The Pew Charitable Trusts. Prior to Pew, she served as VP of Finance and Administration and CFO at the Washington Post, where she oversaw real estate administration, strategy and finance, among other responsibilities.
Kettler also announced a realignment to its organizational structure effective immediately. Asheel Shah has been named president of the multifamily division, while Andy Buchanan will assume the role of president of the land division.
Tysons-based Kettler’s current multifamily pipeline includes nearly 3,000 units under construction or in development. Several mixed-use projects are also in the works for the DC region, including a partnership with the Meridian Group to develop The Boro, a 3.7M SF mixed-use project in Tysons anchored by Whole Foods. Kettler also plans to redevelop a five-acre site at Union Market into a massive 1M SF mixed-use development.
