Monday Snags Another Rosslyn Tenant
Monday Properties signed a 17k SF lease at 1501 Wilson Blvd with ICA Language Services. The firm, which teaches 115 of the world’s languages and dialects, is taking the penthouse and 12th floor and plans to move in 2016. Monday invested over $5M in building improvements, including a renovated lobby, modern fitness center, and a large terrace complete with a putting green, bocce courts and ping-pong tables. The firm has spent the last 25 years down the street at 1901 N Moore St.
Monday president and COO Tim Helmig says aside from the building and community amenities, ICA also wanted to be close to one of its biggest clients, the State Department, which has a large presence in Rosslyn. Tim says Rosslyn, which competes most closely with Downtown DC, has attracted other government contractors because of its close proximity to other federal agencies and the Pentagon. Monday has leased or renewed leases with four government contractors for over 80k SF so far this year.
