Prudential Acquires 10-Story Office Building in DC

Prudential Real Estate Investors has announced the acquisition of 500 8th St on behalf of institutional investors. The 10-story building is a Class-A office property that was developed in 2007.
The 325k SF building is in the East End of DC and within two blocks of all six major metro lines. Features include a 10-story glass atrium, dual rooftop terraces, two marble and granite-finished lobbies, two art exhibition areas and a three-level parking garage.
The building also has 18k SF of retail with tenants including mini-bar and barmini, a James Beard award-winning restaurant, and Penn Social restaurant and bar. [MW]
