Scoop: DC Brokerage Leader Brian Dawson Moves From Cushman & Wakefield To JLL
One of the biggest names in DC leasing, Brian Dawson, has left his senior managing director position at Cushman & Wakefield to join JLL as managing director.
Brian announced the move via his LinkedIn page, and a Cushman & Wakefield spokesperson confirmed the departure. JLL declined to comment. Brian could not be reached for comment.
After Cushman & Wakefield's merger with DTZ, Brian was tapped to lead the firm's investor services and agency leasing practice in DC, overseeing 140 DC-area brokers. He was in charge of office leasing at The Wharf, where he landed a 63k SF lease with the American Psychological Association.
Cushman & Wakefield last week announced it brought on Peter Carroccio from CBRE as executive managing director of brokerage for the DC region. Brian's LinkedIn page says he started at JLL last month, so it's unclear if there's a correlation between the two personnel moves.
