The International Spy Museum Spies L'Enfant Plaza

The International Spy Museum may have found a new home. Pending approval from the CFA, the museum hopes to relocate to a new $100M, 100k SF, six-story building at 900 L'Enfant Plaza, designed by London-based Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners. After plans to relocate to the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square fell through last fall, the museum received many aggressive offers from as far as New Orleans and Philadelphia. But it was important for it to stay in the District, the Washington Business Journal reports. JBG's L'Enfant is a promising site because of its abundant underground parking, and proximity to transportation and the National Mall. The new building will feature a larger exhibit space; three times the special event space; a rooftop terrace; and a public, ground-level, open-air plaza. The museum will present plans to the commission on April 16. [WBJ]
