The Museum of Science Fiction's First Exhibit Coming to Reagan National
The "future" is here (literally) at Reagan National Airport. The Museum of Science Fiction has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $7,500 for its first exhibit. The "Future of Travel" will take a look at the future from the eyes of artists 50 years ago, and will feature a large-scale Orion III spaceplane from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, and retro-futuristic travel posters by Steve Thomas, Curbed reports. Guests will receive an "interstellar passport" and a "boarding pass to the future." They will also have access to a companion mobile app with an "Expedia-style" Plan-Your-Visit component. The four-month exhibit will start on July 7. [Curbed]
