We're sorry to report the news that just arrived: Wout Coster, founder of Urban Investment Partners, passed away this morning after a brief fight with leukemia. He started the firm 15 years ago and changed urban multifamily. Previously he ran the US market for Dutch Institutional Holding Co and pioneered mega projects that changed cities; for example, two towers in Atlanta and two in Boston. Here in DC he built Market Square on Pennsylvania Ave. He loved the Chesapeake and its oysters, which he cultivated on his dock in Galesville—above, Wout at the evening bonfire at his annual Oyster Roast there in 2012. His friends will greatly miss him.
