Donatelli Proposes Mixed-Use Project Next to Fort Totten Metro
As part of series of initiatives to promote transit-oriented projects in DC, Metro chose a bid led by Donatelli Development for the 3.35-acre site next to Fort Totten Metrorail Station, reports Popville. Donatelli proposes a mixed-use project with 345 residential units and 10k SF of ground-floor retail, designed for LEED Silver certification or better. The project will replace a surface parking lot just west of the Fort Totten entrance, totaling 422 daily parking spaces for Metro commuters. The proposal is subject to final approval by Metro’s Board of Directors, and if all goes well, groundbreaking is slated for 2017. [Popville]
