Lot 31 Retail Mix Grows
The Bethesda retail scene will get even more diverse come spring 2015, thanks to the three new retailers at StonebridgeCarras, PN Hoffman, and Northwestern Mutual's Lot 31 development at Woodmont and Bethesda avenues. Stonebridge's Doug Firstenberg tells us the additions of Pottery Barn (and Pottery Barn Kids), Chop't, and PAUL Bakery adds to a "dream lineup" of retailers, including Passion Fish and Silver Diner urban concept Silver. "The game changer was the Pottery Barn deal," Doug says, since the home goods giant's large footprint (17k SF) figures to draw in customers for all of the retailers. (Conveniently, for our wedding, we are registered at Pottery Barn and Silver Diner.)
The Stonebridge team sent us this (snapped late yesterday) of the site, and Doug tells us construction is on schedule for a Q2 '15 delivery, despite the nasty winter. There's an additional 3,000 SF of retail still available at the mixed-use site (there are also 88 condos and 162 apartment units), but Doug says they'll be patient in leasing it up.
