Mount Vernon Triangle Boom
Development is moving east quickly in DC, and nowhere is that more apparent than in Mount Vernon Triangle. That's why we're excited it will be among the hotspots we're showcasing at Bisnow's Development Boom event next Friday at the downtown Renaissance.
DC multifamily giant Kettler is putting the finishing touches on m.flats, a 233-unit apartment complex at 4th and K. VP of multifamily Stephan Rodiger says the neighborhood combines office (e.g., Arnold & Porter and the American Association of Medical Colleges), retail (CityVista as well as a dual-concept restaurant Kettler will bring to m.flats), and other unique dimensions (like Georgetown U Law Center and an established art culture) not seen elsewhere in the city.
Stephen says MVT also benefits from being next to three of DC's largest-scale projects: CityCenter, the Marriott Marquis, and CityMarket at O. Access to all transportation modes (Metro, Bikeshare, walking, or driving) also draws firms and younger residents, he adds. Kettler management president Cindy Clare will expand more on Mount Vernon Triangle at next Friday's event, as will Cafritz Enterprises Jane Cafritz and Lowe Enterprises' Joe Carroll on Fort Totten and PGP's Bob Braunohler on the huge Capitol Crossing project.
