Apartment and Retail Tower to Replace Blue Goose Building
The Shooshan Co has scored $62.5M from SunTrust Bank to replace the pile of rubble that was once the Blue Goose building with a Class-A mixed-use tower. The apartment and retail structure will stand 15 stories tall with 267 units. The plan approved in 2009 had a nine-story, 314-room Springhill Suites with a restaurant, and a three-story conference center. It now includes an additional 14,743 SF for the conference center and an expanded hotel, boasting an extra 26,194 SF. The 110k SF development will include a 165k SF classroom/office building to be occupied by Marymount University, Multihousing News reports. HFF arranged the financing.
