Bozzuto is looking to replace a row of single-family homes in Bethesda with a 120-foot multifamily project.

The developer submitted early plans of the Bethesda Gateway project, sitting at the corner of East-West Highway and Montgomery Avenue, to the Bethesda Downtown Design Advisory Panel, which will review them Wednesday, Bethesda Magazine reports

The project is planned for a 0.55-acre site at 4300, 4302 and 4304 East-West Highway. Bozzuto's proposal calls for 171 residential units in a 12-story building with 10K SF of ground-floor retail.

The project would sit three blocks east of the 250-foot-tall office and hotel project StonebridgeCarras is planning at the corner of Wisconsin and Montgomery avenues.
