DMPED Considering 3 Proposals For Mount Vernon Triangle Parking Deck Redevelopment
After issuing an RFP last year for redevelopment of a two-story Mount Vernon Triangle parking deck, the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development is considering three proposals from developers.
The proposals, presented at a community meeting Wednesday, each include the addition of a major multifamily building on the deck at 200 K St. NW, the Washington Business Journal reports.
Tishman Speyer and Thoron Capital are calling for a 13-story building with 269 apartments and 20k SF of retail. The plan also includes a one-acre park, a 3k SF community events space and two, 3,400 SF arts market buildings.
Capstone Development and Republic Properties want to build a 165-room hotel and a 200-unit multifamily building on the site. The proposal also includes a 90k SF park and recreation space.
Fivesquares Development, Paradigm Development Co. and the Warrenton Group have proposed a 688-unit mixed-use development with 5k SF of ground-floor retail.
