Ashburn's 'Smart City' Project Adds Two More Local Partners

Local developer Minh Le and his company 22 Capital Partners' $500M plan to build a 2.5M SF "smart city" along the Silver Line in Ashburn just got a major boost. 

After landing Microsoft as a partner in March, the Gramercy District project is now bringing in two new partnersGeorge Washington University and the Center for Innovative Technology, the Washington Business Journal reports. 

Under a new name, 22 CityLink, the partnership will create a model for developing real estate using intelligent modern technology that it hopes to replicate with its next projects

The multi-phased project will eventually have more than 900 residential units in three buildings, a 350k SF office building, a high-tech business center and 34k SF of retail. The first phase is tentatively scheduled to deliver in Q3 2018. [WBJ]
