Monument Files Plans For 73k SF Chinatown Office And Retail Project
A three-story Chinatown building that houses Ming's Restaurant could soon be the site of a nine-story, mixed-use development.
Monument Realty has filed plans with the Board of Zoning Adjustments to build 63k SF of office space above 10k SF of retail at 615 H St NW, rendered above.
The plans would preserve the existing three-story restaurant building and would add 43 below-grade parking spaces, Curbed reports. Monument has been working on the plans for several years and has no set groundbreaking date, a spokesperson tells Bisnow.
The site sits next to where Monument is building its POD DC hotel, which is nearing completion. The District's first micro-unit hotel will have no rooms larger than 150 SF and will have two stories of food and beverage space.
